This RNA sequencing project aimed to explore the transcriptional responses of rat TMJ condylar chondrocytes to oxygen variation and Mt1 regulation. Primary condylar chondrocytes from 3 weeks old rats were cultured under physiological low oxygen (5% oxygen) and hypoxic (less than 1% oxygen) conditions, with or without Mt1 knockdown. Total RNA from each group was extracted and subjected to high-throughput sequencing using the Illumina HiSeq 4000 platform. The dataset provides a comprehensive transcriptomic resource for understanding how Mt1 modulates chondrocyte adaptation and metabolic homeostasis under hypoxic stress.
