Serum ferritin during high altitude acclimatization and de-acclimatization.

Data are presented as mean ± SD (ng ml−1) with the number of subjects indicated in parentheses. The POST measurement took place upon initial return to 5260 m following descent to 1525 m for 7 days (7W, 7M) or 21 days (2W, 4M) duration. Linear mixed model statistical analyses were performed to examine the effects of sex and time with SL as the reference. Paired t-tests were performed to compare ALT16 with ALT1 and POST.
