资源简介:

Moisture transport axes are lines of pronounced maximum vertically integrated moisture transport. In the mid-latitudes, these lines generally correspond to atmospheric rivers, warm conveyor belts and/or feeder air streams. Structurally similar features occur also at lower latitudes in association with monsoons and topographically steered flow. At higher latitudes, moisture transport axes mark polar atmospheric rivers or warm-air intrusions. In this variant of the dataset, the input data to the detection was normalised by the annual zonal mean total column water vapour. Mid-latitude detections are by construction generally unchanged, but the detection becomes much more selecting in the tropics and subtropics and much more permissive in polar regions. For details refer to the supplement of the linked article.
