Lipidomic responses to crude oil exposure in zebrafish (Danio rerio)

Recent transcriptomic studies on oil-exposed fish suggest effects on cholesterol homeostasis during early life stages. Cholesterol and biosynthetically downstream metabolites of cholesterol were measured following oil exposure in embryonic zebrafish (Danio rerio). Cholesterol was measured using a spectrophotometric assay, and downstream metabolites were measured by a contracted lipidomics core facility. In addition to lipid measurements, the dataset also includes water quality measurements and PAH measurements and supporting data such as how HEWAF (high energy water accommodated fraction) was made.
