This project investigated the bacterial contents of yeast-based bioethanol fermentation. Bacteria are known to impact the success of bioethanol fermentation, but little is known about bacterial community structure and dynamics during the course of fermentation. Here we used 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing to probe community structure during multiple fermentations from multiple facilities across the United States.
