The next-generation sequencing was used to investigate transcriptomic changes in G. elata Bl. tubers subjected to chewing damage, with a focus on the roles of transcription factors in regulating defense responses and metabolite accumulation. The experimental design consisted of three treatment groups: control (no damage, CK), tuber-chewing (grub-infested, T0), and near tuber-chewing (2 cm from the wound, T2).
