Number notation effect on Chinese to English sight translation: an eye-tracking study

We conducted an eye-tracking study and examined the influence of number notations on the process and product of trainee interpreters in Chinese to English sight translation, with numbers presented in Arabic digits and Chinese characters respectively. Additionally, we looked into the association between trainee interpreters’ reading effort and sight translation quality.
