Although the general prognosis of patients with papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) is favourable, some cases shows aggressive phenotype. Numerous studies showed that lymph node metastasis is associated with recurrence in thyroid cancer and increase the mortality rate particularly in elderly patients. This study aims to characterize differentially expressed genes in PTC with and without lymph node metastasis as compared to paired normal adjacent tissues.
