[C4OC] Ramsar Wetlands Enhancement and Management

Key threats to the ecological character of the Shoalwater and Corio Bays Ramsar wetlands, including pest plants and animals and inappropriate vehicle usage, will be addressed in partnership with the land managers Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service, the Darumbal Traditional Owner Group, and the Department of Defence. Project activities include developing a co-ordinated management plan, implementing integrated pest management control and restoring habitat. Ultimately the resulting public benefit will be reflected in efforts to increase the environmental awareness of the local community and National Park users.
