Effects of Nao Qing Tong Decoction on Hypertension

Nao Qing Tong decoction (NQT) exhibits significant therapeutic efficacy in hypertension by regulating blood pressure variability, inducing hypotensive effects, exerting anti-inflammatory properties, and inhibiting vascular adventitial remodeling. However, the specific effects and underlying mechanisms of NQT treatment on hypertensive remodeling of the vascular media remain elusive. In this study, spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) were employed to investigate the impact of NQT on vascular media remodeling in rats. The experimental groups consisted of normotensive Wistar-Kyoto rats (Control group), SHR (Hypertension group), and NQT + SHR (NQT group). Aortic tissue samples were collected and subjected to RNA sequencing analysis.
