Dataset for the study "The contribution of common lands to carbon sequestration: A case study from Triglav National Park in Slovenia"

This repository contains two spatial datasets that were developed to support the assessment of ecosystem services in the communal lands of the Triglav National Park (TNP), Slovenia. The datasets provide information on net primary production acquired from MODIS NPP product (500m per pixel), we downscaled the MODIS NPP data to 10m resolution, matching that of the EU Copernicus High ResolutionLayers. This enables analysis of the importance of the common lands in the TNP in sustaining ecosystem services. Contents: NPP_downscaled-10m: This is the final result of the downscaling proces. Spatial representation of vegetation productivity within the boundaries of the TNP in 2024. The dataset provides an indicator of ecosystem functioning and biomass production. NPP-SD-10m: This maps represents the stability of the model in each pixel. It should be understood as a complement to the validation results.
