The mechanical response of battery-pack systems (BPSs) under crush and vibration conditions is an important research topic in automotive engineering. A multi-objective optimization design involving multiple operating conditions is developed to imitate real complex road conditions. In this study, a dual-objective optimization method based on a multi-objective genetic algorithm is proposed to evaluate the crushing stress of BPS modules and the vibration fatigue life of a BPS.
