Long-term climate trends and environmental implications in the Mid-Zambezi Biosphere Reserve, Zimbabwe (1984–2024).

This dataset contains climate data and trend analysis outputs used to assess long-term climatic variability in the Mid-Zambezi Biosphere Reserve (MZBR), Zimbabwe, from 1984 to 2024. Climate variables analysed include precipitation, relative humidity, dew point temperature, and minimum and maximum temperatures derived from NASA POWER/MERRA-2 reanalysis data. Analyses were conducted using linear regression, Mann–Kendall trend tests, and Sen’s slope estimator. Results indicate significant warming trends, while precipitation and humidity show high interannual variability with no significant long-term trends. The dataset provides a baseline for environmental monitoring and climate-related research in semi-arid savanna ecosystems.
