资源简介:
The RAP concept can be applied on coronagraphic instruments subject to island effects (low-wind effect and post-adaptive optics petaling, ie. piston, tip, and tilt on the petals defined by the spider). It aims to reduce the constraints of petaling-level errors by 1) optimizing the apodization of the elementary petal and 2) reproducing this apodization on all petals, mimicking the mirror fragmentation. In Leboulleux et al. 2022 (A), the RAP concept developed in the case of primary mirror segmentation-induced errors and applied on a Giant Magellan telescope-like pupil combined with an Apodized Pupil Lyot Coronagraph (APLC) on one hand and with an Apodizing Phase Plate (APP) coronagraph on the other hand. In Leboulleux et al. 2022 (accepted in A, available in the folder), the RAP concept is extended to petal-level errors and applied on the Extremely Large Telescope pupil, combined with both APP and Shaped Pupil (SP) coronagraphs. Acknowledgments This project is funded by the European Research Council (ERC) under the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (grant agreement n°866001).
