Black and white photograph of a group of patients at Ama Achara hospital in southeast Nigeria. Patients sit in the courtyard, along with Nigerian medical staff, who wear white uniforms. A female European missionary (wearing a white dress and a pith helmet with a mosquito net attached) stands in a doorway to one of the hospital buildings. This photograph was pasted into one of a series of exercise book albums created by Emily Godfrey, Matron of the Ama Achara Methodist Hospital.
