Inspire WFS Service Water Protection Areas Tyrol

Pursuant to the Water Law Act 1959 (WRG) § 34, the authority may designate areas for the protection of supply facilities. Larger water protection areas as well as water conservation areas prescribed by the provincial governor have been covered in an area since 1995. Attention: There are innumerable small protected areas by decision that are not covered as polygons. These “small” protected areas can only be seen by the subtype “source with protected area” or “groundwater plant with protected area” at the respective supply facility. The water protected areas are assigned to the INSPIRE data topic Management Areas/Protected Areas/Regulated Areas and Reporting Units (Annex III).
