资源简介:
This scoping review protocol aims to identify and map the profile of scientific publications on the oral health of the Brazilian black population.
The protocol follows the method proposed by the Joanna Briggs Institute and the PRISMA-P guidelines for reporting review protocols. The search will be carried out in the Virtual Health Library (VHL), MEDLINE (PubMed), LILACS, SCIELO, LATINDEX and Google Scholar databases. A search strategy was developed for MEDLINE (PubMed) and will be adapted for each database. Two independent reviewers will screen the articles by titles and abstracts, and then read the full text of the articles included, taking into account the eligibility criteria. The data will be extracted into a standardized Excel form called the Data Extraction Tool. We will use a flowchart following the PRISMA-ScR guidelines and the results will be presented using visual resources.
There is a scarcity of research on the oral health of the black Brazilian population, and the few studies that do exist are scattered. This review will provide detailed information on the profile of these studies.
This scoping review protocol will transparently present the general stages of research on the proposed topic, with the aim of identifying existing gaps in the evidence base.
