This table presents the systematization of the 31 empirical studies in the scoping review titled Challenges of Discussing Controversial Issues in the Classroom. The studies were selected from Web of Science, Scopus, and SciELO databases, focusing on classroom discussions of controversial issues (DCI) among school students, published between January 2012 and April 2023. Each entry includes information about the study design, country, school level, theoretical framework, teaching strategy, subject area, issues discussed, sample size, duration, and who designed the strategy. The table provides a comparative overview of international experiences with DCI, highlighting the diversity of approaches and the characteristics of the discussion. It complements the article’s analysis by offering readers access to the whole corpus used in the review.
