Raw data for "Angst et al., 2025: Marcescence in temperate regions mediates tree litter decomposition through abiotic factors" published in Soil Biology and Biochemistry

The raw data include carbon, nitrogen contents, and carbon/nitrogen ratios of the initial litter material sampled, that exposed in sun and climate treatments, and that incubated in the organic layer; the relative mass loss of the litters after incubations; and information on the chemistry of the litter as examined using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy.
