Clostridium scindens GGCC_0168 is a member of GUT-108, a consortium of commensal bacteria rationally designed around functionalities that are underrepresented in the gut microbiome of IBD patients. When therapeutically applied in a humanized mouse model, GUT-108 robustly corrected colitis-related microbial dysbiosis, dysregulated metabolism and reduced T cell-mediated colitis.
