Extended Yale Face Database B is a grayscale facial image dataset, containing 16,128 facial images of 28 individuals under 9 different poses and 64 different shooting parameters.
The extended Yale Face Database B contains 16,128 images of 28 human subjects under 9 poses and 64 illumination conditions. The data format of this database is identical to that of the original Yale Face Database B.
Compared with the original Yale Face Database B which includes 10 subjects, this extended dataset was first reported by Kuang-Chih Lee, Jeffrey Ho and David Kriegman in their paper "Acquiring Linear Subspaces for Face Recognition under Variable Lighting" (PAMI, May 2005).
All test image data used in the experiments were manually aligned, cropped, and then resized to an image size of 168×192. If experimental results are published using the cropped images, please also cite the PAMI 2005 paper.
