Processed 16S rRNA gene sequencing data from fecal samples of Control and CUMS mice

This dataset contains processed 16S rRNA gene sequencing data from fecal samples of Control and chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS) mice. The deposited files include an amplicon sequence variant (ASV) abundance table with taxonomic annotations, representative ASV nucleotide sequences, a DADA2 sequencing quality-control summary, and sample metadata. The V3–V4 hypervariable region of the bacterial 16S rRNA gene was analyzed by paired-end sequencing (2 × 250 bp) on an Illumina MiSeq platform. Sequence processing was performed using QIIME 2. Primer sequences were removed using cutadapt, followed by quality filtering, denoising, paired-end read merging and chimera removal using DADA2 to generate ASVs. Taxonomic classification was performed against the Greengenes 13_8 99% reference database. Downstream statistical analyses and visualization were performed in R version 4.1.2. The deposited files represent processed 16S rRNA gene sequencing data.
