NES-VMDB

NES-VMDB is a dataset consisting of 98,940 game videos and their accompanying soundtracks, developed by the Department of Computer Science, Federal University of Viçosa, Brazil. Built upon the NES-MDB dataset, it encompasses 5,278 musical works across 389 NES games. During the dataset creation process, researchers collected long-form gameplay footage, split the footage into 15-second clips, extracted audio from these clips, and matched the extracted audio with the musical tracks included in NES-MDB. This dataset is primarily designed to support research on video-based automatic game music generation, with the goal of assisting independent game developers in rapidly generating background music and advancing the democratization of game development.
