Serial section series of Bathymodiolus childressi pediveliger (M101)

Serial section series of a non symbiotic <i>Bathymodiolus childressi</i> pediveliger. The mussel was sampled at the Mississippi Canyon 853 (28.123 N; -89.139 E) at 1071 m water depth in 2015. The mussel was fixed with 2.5% glutaraldehyde stored in PHEM-buffer. Sections (1.5 µm section thickness) were stained with toluidine blue.
