Medical Student Engagement in Research: Dataset from a Cross-Sectional Study in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

This dataset contains anonymized survey responses collected from medical students in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, between January 2024 and May 2024, as part of a cross-sectional study assessing perceptions, practices, and barriers toward research. Data were collected via an online questionnaire (Google Forms) comprising 61 items across four sections: demographics, attitudes toward research, research practices, and perceived obstacles.<br>The dataset is provided in Excel (.xlsx) format in a single sheet named “Form Responses 1”. Each row represents a participant, and each column corresponds to a specific survey question. All personal identifiers have been removed to maintain participant confidentiality.<br>These data can be used to explore factors influencing research engagement among medical students, analyze demographic variations, and compare findings with similar studies in other regions.
