Mariam Shomali (from Beit Sahour) interviewed by Leila Younis on 14 July 2004. <br>She discusses the following: locust plague and how the government combatted it with airplanes; her husband was conscripted into the army for 6 years; British government was better than the Ottoman one as none of her family were conscripted. <br>Original audio: floppy disk. In the original collection at Bethlehem University this floppy disk was categorised as File 6 of Box 4. <br>This fileset exists as part of the Ottoman Empire and World War I collection within the Bethlehem University Oral History project of the Planet Bethlehem Archive.
