Sequencing and analysis of BL21 prokaryotic transcriptome

We use the prokaryotic expression to express the target PtDef (XP_002325735.1). During the process of protein expression, we found that IPTG-induced expression of PtDef may inhibit the growth of E.coli BL21(DE3). To identify the phenomenon, we perform the Sequencing and analysis of transcriptome. The transcriptome data suggested that defensin inhibits E. coli growth may be PtDef triggering a process of bacterial apoptosis.
