Database Supporting Environmental Favourability Models for the Iberian Lynx and the European Rabbit
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains the datasets collected during 2023-2024 supporting the development of environmental favourability models for the Iberian lynx (Lynx pardinus) and its main prey, the European rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus), in mainland Spain. The data include spatial information on lynx stable distribution, prey availability proxies, and environmental predictor variables used in the analyses. Environmental predictors were obtained from publicly accessible sources and harmonised prior to modelling to a common spatial resolution (10 × 10 km UTM grid cells and municipal units) and a shared projection (EPSG:25830). The sheet named “lynx” shows the stable occurrence of lynx and the values of the predictor variables at 10 × 10 km UTM grid cells. The sheet named “rabbit” indicates municipalities showing high rabbit hunting yields under three scenarios 0.1 hunted rabbits/ha, 0.2 hunted rabbits/ha, and hunted 0.4 rabbits/ha, (RABBIT_1, RABBIT_2 and RABBIT_3, respectively), as well as the predictor variables used for the rabbit modelling at municipality scale. The sheet named “data_sources” provides the sources from which each predictor variable was obtained, along with the definition of each variable.
