Navarro Watershed Riparian Analysis

The State Water Resources Control Board Division of Water Rights staff have developed a new interactive tool that graphically displays riparian statements within the Navarro Watershed. The goal of the application is to allow the public to view and analyze their own riparian statements and to provide information on how water diverted under a riparian statement can be used. The application provides the necessary layers to conduct a preliminary investigation into whether riparian diverters are in compliance. The following layers include parcel boundaries provided by Landvision, patent shapefiles produced via an excel script using information provided by Bureau of Land Management (BLM), National Hydrology Dataset (NHD) provided by US Geological Survey (USGS), and Points of Diversion (PODs) provided by the Division of Water Rights Electronic Water Rights Information Management System (eWRIMS).<div><br /></div><div><font size='3'>How to Use the Interactive Map:</font></div><div><font size='3'><br /></font></div><div><ul><li><font size='3'>After opening the application, you will need to agree to the disclaimer and click &quot;OK&quot; on the splash screen before continuing.</font></li></ul><ul><li><font size='3'>Select a Statement ID number from the list on the main stage panel of the application to navigate to your point of interest.</font></li></ul><ul><li><font size='3'>Once at the location of interest, review patent boundaries, parcel boundaries, and whether the patent is riparian to the water source provided by the Point of Diversion. </font></li></ul><ul><li><font size='3'>Review the panels on the left side of the application to learn why the investigation is taking place in the Navarro Watershed, what data is necessary to conduct a preliminary investigation, and how to conduct the investigation.</font></li></ul><ul><li><font size='3'>Click on any item on the map to bring up a pop-up box that provides more information regarding the item selected. Patents will include a link to BLM's public website.
