The COVID-19 outbreak triggered a whole new range of needs among Colombian online food buyers. Since the beginning of the mandatory preventive isolation on March 24, 2020, the Colombian online food delivery platform Domicilios.com saw a boom in popularity in the demand of Mexican food, with online sales of this food growing by 69 percent. Meanwhile, smaller food products such as desserts, sandwiches and arepas increased by 20 percent.
