Number of road traffic accidents involving pedal cyclists in Tokyo, Japan 2016-2022

In 2022, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department in Japan recorded approximately 15.3 thousand accidents involving pedal cyclists, increasing from around 13.3 thousand in the previous year. In roughly 7.3 thousand bicycle accidents, the bike rider's negligence was the grossest of all parties involved.
