Phytoplankton diversity in the northwestern South China Sea eddy field

We conducted a high-resolution survey of a pair of cyclonic and anticyclonic eddies in the northwestern South China Sea in May 2023, to comparatively analyse the differences in phytoplankton community compositions in different eddy field of different development stages, and to explore the mechanisms contributing to this distribution pattern in relation to environmental factors
