资源简介:
This dataset supports the investigation of the flexural behavior of cold-formed Z-purlins with stiffened webs, a recently developed cross-section designed to improve structural efficiency under bending. The research hypothesis is that the web stiffeners enhance the purlin’s resistance to local and distortional buckling, potentially increasing its flexural capacity beyond conventional Z-sections. The data include results from full-scale bending tests on isolated and lapped specimens, with measurements of load and displacement. The dataset also comprises theoretical predictions based on the Direct Strength Method (DSM) and Effective Width Method (EWM), following AISI S100:2016, AISI S100:2024, and EN 1993-1-3:2024 provisions. The comparison between experimental and predicted capacities highlights the influence of local–distortional buckling interaction and bending-shear interaction. This dataset can be used to calibrate numerical models, validate design procedures, or perform reliability studies for advanced cold-formed steel applications.
