California coast, ecosystem surveys of sandy beaches and surf zones (Long- term monitoring)

These data are part of California's MPA Phase 2 monitoring program initiated in 2019. This data package contains datasets for sandy beach and surf zone ecosystems resulting from surveys of surf zone fish, birds, kelp plants, wrack, visitors and beach characteristics of paired MPA and reference sites on open coast sandy beaches and surf zones on the California coast during 2019-2020.
