资源简介:
The statistical nature of meteor falls on the Earth's Surface is affected by the intricate interplay of Earth's rotation and other diverse factors, raising an inquiry of whether the overall meteor fall distribution on the Earth's surface is truly random or follows some more specific distributions. Very little literature exists concerning the statistical nature of meteor showers on the Earth, primarily focused on investigating the randomness of meteor fall using only linear statistical tests. %In this paper, we contest the dependency of the existing literature on linear statistical analysis for meteor fall distribution, as But, the meteor falls, and fireball fall dataset undoubtedly falls under the directional statistical paradigm (circular or spherical). No linear statistical tests for randomness will be suitable for a typical Meteor falls dataset on the Earth's surface because the linear statistical tests may not capture the information about the Earth's geoidal, non-flat surface. In this paper, we take the statistical approach with a circular paradigm instead of a linear one to determine whether the meteor shower on the Earth is uniform. Here We take the projection technique for the locations' longitude and latitude. Moreover, we investigated other circular statistical distributions like the Von Mises distribution. We discover a statistical distinction between distributions of the two data sets: one focused on Fireballs, while the other centered on craters created on Earth's surface by Meteors. Fireball fall on the Earth indicates Von Mises and statistically undoubtedly non-uniform. In comparison, the Meteor craters on the Earth indicated model validation for both uniform distribution and the Von Mises, although further model selection confirms Von Mises. In conclusion, The location parameter of craters and fireballs follows the Von Mises Distribution.
