Ecological but not biological traits of European riverine invertebrates respond consistently to anthropogenic impacts

The datasets here were used to examine relationships between riverine invertebrate ecological quality (measured as EQR or ASPT) and trait composition across Europe during 1981-2021. Here, we provide the site information, ecological quality values, taxonomic data, community-weighted mean trait values, and other control variables. Further information on each dataset is provided in the "README.txt" file, and information on how values were calculated (and transformed if necessary) is provided in the methods and supporting information of the associated article (doi.org/10.1111/geb.13931).
