资源简介:
The dataset "Pakistan Cotton Survey 2015, Round 2.1" was collected to inform the research study that examines the efficiency of markets for cotton seed in Pakistan with particular emphasis on the market for genetically modified cotton seed embodying insect-resistance traits from the soil bacterium Bacillus thurigiensis (Bt) that have been conferred through genetic modification. The survey was designed by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and implemented by Innovative Development Studies (IDS). It was a second round of the panel survey and covered similar modules as Round 1.1 and Round 1.3 (land utilization, labor, machinery, and draught power usage and expenditure, use of pesticide and insecticide, expenditure on inputs, cotton harvest and sales, household income, shocks, agricultural credit, and access to extension) for kharif 2014. It also included a discrete choice experiment to understand cotton farmers’ attitudes and perceptions regarding cotton leaf curl virus (CLCV) resistant varieties and related traits.
