<p>Law suits on criminal cases with respect to theft, burglary, vandalism or assault have been described in this survey. Data haven been gathered partly by means of observation during the sessions of the court (Assen, Leeuwarden, Groningen) and partly from dossiers. Social and economic background of the defendant / type of offence / seriousness / damage / role of alcohol, drugs / personal problems / getting assistance / recidivists: dossier of last lawsuit / prognosis for recidivism / observations in court: presence of witnesses, experts, press and public / behaviour and appearance of the defendant / changes in occupational situation / attitude and behaviour of the judge, public prosecutor, defence and reports to the defendant / demand and verdict. Background variables: basic characteristics/ household characteristics/ characteristics of parental family/household/ occupation/employment/ income/capital assets/ education/ social class</p>本调研涵盖涉及盗窃、入室盗窃、故意毁坏财物及故意伤害的刑事案件诉讼。数据采集采用两类方式：其一为现场观测阿森（Assen）、吕伐登（Leeuwarden）、格罗宁根（Groningen）三地法庭的庭审过程，其二为调取案卷档案。调研涉及的分析维度包括：被告人的社会与经济背景、犯罪类型、犯罪严重程度、涉案损害程度、酒精与毒品的影响、个人困境、获得的援助情况、再犯相关信息（含末次诉讼案卷记录、再犯风险预测）；庭审观测内容包括证人、专家、媒体与公众的到庭情况，被告人的言行与外貌，职业状况变化，法官、公诉人、辩护方的态度与行为，向被告人送达的各类司法文书，以及公诉请求与最终判决。背景变量涵盖基本特征、家庭特征、原生家庭/家庭特征、职业/就业状况、收入、资本资产、受教育程度、社会阶层。
