We collected sediment cores from inside, 1 m (edge) and 20 m outside a seagrass meadow to explore the composition and function of microbial communities. We obtained sediment genomic DNA from a core slice 10 to 15 cm below the sediment surface. We collected both full length 16S PacBio Amplicon and WGS metagenomic data to investigate the composition and function of the community.
