Beyond Discipline or Dialogue — Layered Conflict-Management Repertoires of Senior High School Heads in Ghanaian Boarding Schools

This deposit is a restricted-access research data description for the article "Beyond Discipline or Dialogue: Layered Conflict-Management Repertoires of Senior High School Heads in Ghanaian Boarding Schools" submitted to Cogent Education (Taylor & Francis). The study is a qualitative multiple-case study exploring how heads of two public boarding Senior High Schools in Ghana's Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality sequenced conflict-management strategies across student, staff, and school-community conflicts. Data were generated through eight semi-structured individual interviews and two focus group discussions with 24 participants — including heads, senior house staff, guidance and counselling coordinators, and student leaders (prefects). The underlying interview transcripts and focus group records are not publicly available due to ethics clearance conditions (HuSSREC/AP/221/VOL. 4, CHRPE/KNUST, 3rd June 2025) and participant confidentiality assurances.
