Number of domestic leisure tourist in Japan 2022, by prefecture

Among the 47 prefectures in Japan, Chiba Prefecture recorded the highest number of domestic leisure tourists, with around 24.21 million travelers visiting the prefecture for tourism and recreational purposes in 2022. Akita Prefecture had the lowest number of tourists for recreational purposes, amounting to 1.63 million.
