Replication data and code for "The Law of Technological Power Displacement" (Journal of Government and Economics, 2026)
收藏资源简介:
Replication data and code accompanying Lancho Rodríguez, J.M. (2026), "The Law of Technological Power Displacement: Technological non-neutrality and the structural growth of power asymmetry in technological societies", Journal of Government and Economics 23, 100185, https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jge.2026.100185. Contents. Two pilot datasets in CSV format: the D-V-E-I audit pilot for the Spanish market regulator, 2014 to 2024; and the TED procurement pilot with technical contracts by regulator and year for six European regulators, 2008 to 2023. Seven Python scripts that construct the Spain BOE weighted index of accumulated regulatory scope and the EU-27 Digital Society Project panel (Table 1 and Table 2 of the paper); run the model calibration checks referenced in Section 4; execute the Monte Carlo power analysis of Appendix X.4; compute the effective-capacity pilot of the Discussion; filter the TED Contract Award Notices (Phase 1) and add the all-CPV denominator (Phase 2); and mine regulator annual-report PDFs for D-V-E-I audit evidence. README.md and requirements.txt included. Structure. The top-level directory contains the de-anonymised publication version of the code and data. The subfolder submitted-manuscript-anonymised/ preserves the original files as submitted to Editorial Manager during double-blind peer review, byte-for-byte identical to the SHA-256 hashes printed in the accepted paper's supplementary material. Verify with sha256sum -c submitted-manuscript-anonymised/SHA256SUMS. Methodological note. The pilot D-V-E-I dataset is labelled as LLM-assisted single-coder in its coding_method field, matching Appendix X.2 of the paper; it is preliminary and non-inferential, and will be replaced by blind double human coding in the pre-registered confirmatory audit.
