A mooring (thermistor chain) was deployed at 130<sup>o</sup>08.3119'E, 16<sup>o</sup>06.5120'N in 4508 m water depth on the southwest hillside of the rift walls of the Central Basin Fault Zone (CBFZ) in the central Philippine Basin (PB). The measurements were taken in the range from 25 m to 315 m above the seafloor (hereinafter, DAB refers to the distance above seafloor) for 32 days between 24 July and 25 August 2019, corresponding to day 205-237. 98 temperature loggers (sample rate 8 Hz, Model: ONT18S, Ocean Net Technology Co., Ltd) were assembled on the cable with an equal vertical space of 3 m. 16 loggers lacked valid data, and the missing data depths were supplemented by linear interpolation. Two SBE37SM conductivity-temperature-depth recorders (CTDs) were attached at DAB=27 and 315 m with the sample interval of 10 s. A single-point SeaGuard recording current meter (RCM) was moored at DAB=25 m with the sample interval of 10 minutes. The tilt degree of RCM increased abruptly at day 236.9653, so data acquired after was abandoned.The in-situ temperature inquired by the loggers are converted to potential temperature using the salinity data measure by the CTD, then sub-sampled to a time interval of 1 hour.
