Whole exome sequencing of synchronous bilateral breast cancer

This study performed the whole exome sequencing of a case of a 72-year-old female patient who presented with synchronous bilateral breast cancer with discordant molecular subtypes, with a stage IA hormone receptor-negative (human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER2)-positive) tumor in the left breast and a stage IIIA hormone-sensitive tumor (HER2-negative) in the right breast.
