Soil moisture is a key variable in regional water cycles, with important applications in water resource and agricultural drought management. Most existing global soil moisture products are retrieved from microwave remote sensing data. However, there is a scarcity of spatially explicit, temporally continuous, and high-resolution soil moisture information at the national scale at present. This dataset generates data from 1993 to 201... using the Random Forest (RF) algorithm, based on a large number of daily in-situ soil moisture observations.
