资源简介:
Brazil has the second highest cesarean section rate in the world. Cesareans have higher health care costs. We used hospitalization data from beneficiaries living in the state of São Paulo, admitted between 2015 and 2021 with ages between 10 and 49 years to verify the rates and costs of cesarean sections in the private sector. A health economic evaluation was conducted from the perspective of supplementary health considering direct medical costs. We analyzed 757,307 hospitalizations with spending of R$7.701 billion. The cesarean rates were 80% in the period. Here we present the data used in this research.
