What an epic week it’s going to be for Earnings and Fed rate decisions, I expect frankly, a bloodbath. Some huge tech earnings, the Fed decision, the January unemployment rate.<br><br>Speaking of A.I. penny stocks, I might be buying SOUN 6.63%↑ if it gets below $1 (data from stock price in Excel), I’ve always liked what the companies does. Recently news broke that customer engagement platform Airmeez plans to use SoundHound's voice AI technology for its AI-powered virtual assistants.<br><br>The Buzzfeed saga is really weird to me. CNET and Buzzfeed have been in the news about using A.I. to automate their media content a lot. Both are basically loser brands in Media.<br><br>BZFD, which used to be one of the best growth stocks, is up 430% so far in 2023 and I think it’s beyond dumb. Can you imagine when the real stock market recovery happens the things we are going to see?<br><br><br>This is just a sign of things to come as ChatGPT mania took over the last two months with tons of media coverage.<br><br>The macro story is supposedly that BuzzFeed said Thursday that it will work with ChatGPT creator OpenAI to use artificial intelligence to help create content for its audience, marking a milestone in how media companies implement the new technology into their businesses.<br><br>Sad brands like Meta (Facebook) have deals with BuzzFeed to produce Creator content for Facebook and Instagram, one of the best value stocks on the market. The content to me seems like pretty low quality, suffice to say that this is not my kind of meme stock.<br><br>Now Ryan Cohen’s Alibaba stake is far far more interesting. Alibaba is still the Cloud leader of all o f China and with the Chinese Government owning “golden” shares in such of its BigTech things get more interesting there with the Chinese Covid recovery. Though I think the Hang Sang has bounced back too fast.<br><br>So far in 2023 the NASDAQ 100 is up 12% and the Hang Sang up 10% in what appears to be a New Year’s rally. But does it have legs?<br><br>By midweek central banks are likely to dominate the agenda, beginning on Wednesday with the Fed, which is expected to downshift to a 25 basis points increase in interest rates amid signs of cooling inflation. Following as usual in the Bank of Canada’s footsteps.<br><br>I’m working on a post about Penny stocks in this weird environment. It should be out sometime this week.
