A COMPARATIVE LINGUISTIC ANALYSIS OF AGRICULTURAL DISCOURSE IN THE KARAKALPAK AND ENGLISH LANGUAGES

Agricultural discourse represents a specialized form of communication that reflects professional knowledge, cultural traditions, and social practices in the agricultural sector. As agriculture continues to develop through scientific and technological innovation, the comparative study of agricultural discourse has become increasingly important in linguistics, translation studies, and intercultural communication. This study aims to conduct a comparative linguistic analysis of agricultural discourse in the Karakalpak and English languages by examining their lexical, grammatical, semantic, and pragmatic features. The research employs comparative, descriptive, discourse, and semantic analysis methods to investigate authentic agricultural texts from both languages. The findings reveal that English agricultural discourse is characterized by standardized terminology, precise scientific language, and formal communicative structures, whereas Karakalpak agricultural discourse preserves traditional vocabulary, culturally specific expressions, and language patterns shaped by local agricultural practices. The study contributes to comparative linguistics, discourse analysis, terminology development, and professional communication in multilingual agricultural contexts.
