LANDFIRE's Forest Canopy Bulk Density (CBD) data produced jointly by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and U.S. Department of the Interior (raw data available here). Current version hosted here is the 2024 vintage for CONUS. The file name within "lc23_cbd_240.tif" will be held constant across vintages for backward compatability even though the data includes the most recent vintage. Raw data raster is a factor raster with factor levels of CBD, this version uses those factor levels and converts them to numeric values of CBD in kilograms per cubic meters. Additionally, non-forest and no data values are set to blank (NA) in this variant.
