The transcriptional co-regulator IRF2BP1 gets de-SUMOylated after EGF treatment in Hela cells. SUMOylation of IRF2BP1 occurs at position K579. We used microarray analysis to investigate which genes are under control of IRF2BP1 SUMOylation in dependence of EGF treatment. Hela cells stably expressing low levels of siRNA-resistant, untagged IRF2BP1 wildtype (wt) or IRF2BP1 K579R (KR) were treated with siRNA against the endogenous IRF2BP1. Following that, cells were serum starved, serum starved and treated with100 ng/ml EGF for 1 hour. As a control, cells were also kept in full medium containing serum.
